Microsoft has a well-earned reputation as a top employer and top firm in its field. Its HR Trax program offers a challenging internship opportunity for high-performing HR talent. This 12-week program is thoughtfully designed to provide interns with strategic projects, and offers all the exposure and opportunities as the full-time rotation.
The HR Trax program is designed to provide a custom experience, accelerating an intern's ability to reach their career goals. They will given challenging assignments that will help them become proficient in Microsoft and HR competencies, including compensation and benefits, HR operations, staffing/recruiting, leadership and/or management development, diversity and inclusion, mergers and acquisitions, program management and/or what it means to be an HR Business Partner. Mentoring and feedback from HR leaders are consistently provided throughout your rotations to ensure accelerated development.
HR Trax rotations are primarily at Microsoft’s corporate headquarters, which are located in Redmond, WA, USA. There are limited opportunities each year for international rotations.
Applicants to the HR Internship Program must have an MBA or master’s degree in HR-related fields (pursuing degree) along with two to four years professional work experience.
However, the most competitive candidates will demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively and influence individuals at all levels of the organization; a willingness and ability to engage proactively in continuous improvement of self and company; the ability to tie HR work to business outcomes; and a passion for technology and HR. They should also possess the abilities to lead from any position; partner in a team-based environment to drive outcomes; and drive results in a dynamic environment.
