Tutors and Trainers

Outlook

Tutors and trainers will always be in demand, but those wishing to enter these careers should know that these jobs—except positions with large school systems, large for-profit tutoring organizations, and major foundations and nonprofit organizations—are often part time and low paying. Most tutors and trainers enter the field not for monetary gain, but because they want to help improve the lives of others. Job opportunities will be more readily available in large cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago that have many nonprofit organizations. Opportunities and pay will be better for tutors and trainers employed by for-profit organizations and companies.
