Tire Technicians


Tire technicians are classified with inspectors, testers, and graders. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, median hourly earnings of inspectors, testers, sorters, samplers, and weighers who worked in motor vehicle parts manufacturing were $17.46 in May 2015 (for a mean annual, full-time salary of $36,310). Wages for all inspectors ranged from less than $10.16 an hour to more than $29.88 an hour, or from less than $21,140 to more than $62,150 for full-time work.
