Earnings for taxi drivers vary widely, depending on the number of hours they work, the method by which they are paid, the season, the weather, and other factors. Median hourly earnings of salaried taxi drivers and chauffeurs, including tips, were $11.30 in May 2015, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. This translates to about $23,510 annually for full-time work. Hourly wages ranged from less than $8.57 to more than $18.25 an hour. This range translates to an annual wage range of between $17,830 and $37,970 for full-time work.
