Microelectronics Technicians

Outlook

Jobs in the electronics industry are expected to decline through 2024, according to the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). This is because of increasing competition within the industry and improved efficiencies and automation of many of the support functions in the electronics industry. Some companies may relocate parts of their development operations overseas to speed up the process and reduce costs, which will reduce the need for workers in the United States.
