Law Librarians

Work Environment

Most law librarians spend much of their workday indoors in a generally pleasant environment. They may spend a great deal of time sitting at their desk and using computers, so eyestrain and headaches from continuous computer use are possible. Even though much of the material they work with may be electronic, law librarians still have to deal with the printed word. That means regularly lifting and carrying periodicals and books, some of which can be heavy. Their work environment can also be stressful, as they may work with lawyers, judges, or students who are working under deadline pressure.
