Employment for information security analysts who work for management, scientific, and technical consulting services firms will grow by 39.7 percent from 2018 to 2028, according to the U.S. Department of Labor, or much faster than the average for all occupations. Many U.S. companies and other organizations are increasing their cybersecurity budgets due to increasing concerns about data security. “Organizations across industries like finance, retail, and education are looking for skilled professionals to design and implement comprehensive information security that covers a wide range of business security priorities,” advises Peninsula Press, a project of the Stanford Journalism Program.
