Hydroelectric Production Managers

Work Environment

Hydroelectric production managers work in the production area of hydroelectric power plants and in offices. They wear protective equipment such as a helmet, goggles, safety shoes, etc., when they are in the production area. They work full time, usually 40 hours per week, but there may be occasions when they put in extra hours, such as when emergency repairs are needed. Power plants operate 24/7 and production managers work in shifts. They may work the night shift or through the weekends.
