Production workers in the forging and stamping industries earned average annual salaries of $36,910 in May 2015, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. First-line supervisors of production and operating workers earned mean annual salaries of $59,390, and inspectors averaged $39,410. Salaries for forge shop workers ranged from $25,000 to $65,000 or more.
