Financial Planners

Unions and Associations

Financial planners are not members of unions. Popular membership organizations for planners include the Financial Planning Association (FPA), Investments & Wealth Institute (IWI), and the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors. The American College of Financial Services, FPA, IWI, Fi360, and the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards provide certification. Many state-level financial planning associations provide membership, continuing education classes, and networking opportunities to financial planners.
