Farmers' Market Managers/Promoters

Employment Prospects

Farmers' market managers and promoters work for farmers' markets. They may work for a single-business operation, and therefore be located at just one site, or they may be responsible for several farmers' markets or more within one or more counties. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's 2011 National Farmers Market Directory (the most recent directory published), the top 10 states with the greatest number of farmers' markets were California, New York, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Iowa, Wisconsin, and North Carolina.
