Indeed.com reported that energy efficiency engineers employed in New York City in September 2016 earned a much higher salary than engineers employed elsewhere in the country, with an average annual salary of $114,000. Full-time energy efficiency engineers may also receive bonuses and profit sharing, as well as medical benefits.
