Work Environment

Many electrical engineering technologists work 40 hours per week. They may work evening or daytime shifts. They work closely with electrical engineers in offices, laboratories, and manufacturing facilities. Longer hours are required when production deadlines must be met. Electrical engineering technologists follow safety precautions if certain electrical equipment or materials that they work with are hazardous.
