Electrical Engineering Technologists

Advancement Prospects

Electrical engineering technologists typically start as associate technologists, receiving on-the-job training. After one to two years in this role, they advance to become electrical engineering technologists. Those with five or more years of proven success in managing projects advance to senior-level positions, which often include overseeing the work of other technologists. Technologists also enhance their careers by going back to school for advanced degrees and getting certification.
