Distance Learning Coordinators

The employment outlook for distance learning coordinators is bright. Online education continues to grow and colleges, universities, and other academic institutions will continue to expand their Web-based educational programs. The research group Global Market Insights estimated the e-learning market at $150 billion in 2016, and projects this market to grow by 5 percent through 2024. More corporations are expected to adopt and promote online education and training programs. Distance learning coordinators will be needed to oversee these programs. The Department of Labor predicts that instructional coordinators will have 7 percent employment growth, about as fast as the average, through 2024. Distance learning coordinators who have a master's degree, several years of work experience, and who are up to speed on the latest technologies and software programs used in the field will have good chances of securing work.
