Deputy U.S. Marshals


As with other federal positions, salaries for deputy U.S. marshals are fixed at government service rating levels. Beginning deputy U.S. marshals are hired at the GL-7 level. Annual starting salaries were between $39,677 and $50,180 in 2016. Those appointed at the GL-7 grade level are eligible for promotion to GL-9 after one year, which paid $44,250 to $57,093.
