Automatic Teller Machine Servicers

Work Environment

ATM servicers often work where the ATM is located, which could be either indoors or outdoors. Bench technicians work in repair shops. Sometimes work must be done in small, confined spaces where there is little room to move around. Since much work is conducted on-site where a machine is located, ATM servicers do some traveling. How much traveling they do depends on the area they service. Some servicers may drive between 400 and 1,200 miles each week. Others may work in a big city with many ATMs and travel considerably less.
