Airport Security Personnel

Outlook

Employment for federal security screeners is expected to grow by about 3 percent, or more slowly than the average, through 2024, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Despite better pay, security screeners still have high turnover rates due to the high demands involved with the job. This turnover will continue to create new jobs in the future. While jobs as air marshals and security directors will not be as plentiful, there will always be a critical need for qualified and skilled individuals to protect airplanes and passengers from security threats.
