Derek Loosvelt is Vault's senior finance editor. Derek has a BS in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MFA in creative writing from the New School. His writing has appeared in several online and print publications. Previously, he worked in investment banking as an M&A analyst and associate.
Mary Kate is Vault's Senior Law Editor. She is an attorney with a J.D. from Columbia Law School, an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from The New School, and a B.A. in English from Mary Washington College. Mary Kate covers legal careers, the legal industry, and general career advice. Previously, Mary Kate worked as a litigator at a Vault 100 law firm.
Stephan Maldonado received his Bachelor of Arts in English from Cornell University. His professional experience includes more than six years of writing for the web as a digital marketer, copywriter, and editor. His writing spans numerous industries, including education, healthcare, retail, and fitness and nutrition. He is an aspiring novelist and is working on a novel in his free time. Stephan currently resides in New York.
Kaitlin McManus is Vault’s Associate Law Editor. She received her B.A. in English from Illinois Wesleyan University and her M.F.A. in Creative Writing from The New School. She has worked for a literary magazine and a publisher focused on nonfiction music titles. Now she writes career advice content for Vault’s blog (most notably for the undergrad blog) and works on Vault's various law guides. She always told her parents she'd never be an attorney—they think her current position is extremely funny.
Phil Stott is a Vault Editor. Since joining Vault in 2007, he has covered a variety of industries including consulting, consumer products and technology.
Matt is Vault’s Law Editor and writes about legal industry news and career advice on Vault’s Law Blog. Prior to joining Vault, Matt worked as a litigator at two Vault 100 law firms. Matt has a JD from Georgetown Law and a BS in Journalism from the University of Florida.
Kristina is Vault's associate law editor and reports on a variety of matters from technology to college advice. She received her BA in English with a focus in Creative Writing from the University of Iowa. Prior to joining the Vault team, Kristina has been a freelance writer in New York, covering food, local events, start-ups, and work out trends.
Jon Minners is Vault's Senior Marketing Manager. This is his second go-around with Vault, serving as the company’s Communications Manager from 2009-2011. Since re-joining Vault in 2016, Jon concentrates on Vault’s social media channels, its Internship and Education portals and writes blogs based off his own observations in the workplace. A New Yorker for life, Jon earned his BA in Journalism from Baruch College and served as the Managing Editor for the Bronx Times Reporter before working in different public relations and marketing capacities for The New York Public Library, Montefiore Medical Center and the NYC Department for the Aging.
Isabel Sperry is a Client Development Coordinator on the Vault marketing team. A graduate of Yale University, she earned her BA in American Studies with a focus on American literature and art history. Isabel is a contributing Vault blogger on topics such as undergraduate career development and working as a young professional.
