About Teneo (Management Consulting)
Teneo was founded in 2011 with a vision of redefining the advisory business, providing clients with a unique set of services not offered elsewhere under one roof. It now has 18 offices worldwide, employing over 800 people in four key divisions. These divisions are Strategy & Communications Advisory, Risk Advisory, Capital Advisory, and Management Consulting. Together, they offer a unique combination of services focused on meeting the needs of CEOs and executive teams. Teneo draws upon a network of senior advisors who support business development and project delivery. These include Ursula Burns (former CEO of Xerox), Lord Hague of Richmond (former British Secretary of State) and Max Kelly (former Chief Security Officer of Facebook).
Teneo’s Management Consulting division works directly with the CEOs and boards of today’s most complex organizations, both independently and in combination with the capabilities of the other Teneo divisions. The division’s focus is on answering key strategic questions through a mix of senior experience and rigorous analysis. It operates across a diverse array of sectors including healthcare, transport, software, and TMT, amongst others. Within these markets, clients include FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 firms, public-sector organizations, high growth businesses, and private equity houses.
The division achieved a significant scale in 2017, following the purchase of boutique strategy consultancy firm Credo. Since then, the Management Consulting division has expanded to over 100 individuals worldwide and seeks to combine the advantages, focus, and agility of a small firm combined with the global reach and blue-chip client base of a global brand. Functionally, Teneo’s Management Consulting division helps its clients with strategy setting and implementation, organizational design and governance, revenue growth, performance improvement, M&A and transaction support, pricing optimization and program management amongst others.

Teneo sells majority stake to CVC Capital Partners
Teneo has sold a majority stake to UK-based private equity firm CVC Capital Partners, as former minority owner BC Partners exits after four-and-a-half years. A statement from Teneo suggests the company could return to the acquisitions trail. It made nine acquisitions during BC Partners’ tenure, although it has made none since 2017. Teneo said the investment "will provide significant opportunity for the continued growth of Teneo's operations through organic investment and acquisition focused across its four operating segments: Strategy & Communications; Management Consulting; Risk Advisory; and Capital Advisory".
