Product evolution

Putnam focuses solely on the life sciences, offering services focused on both development-stage and marketed products. Ensuring a Successful Launch

Nearly half of Putnam's projects in the past year have addressed the challenges of bringing cutting edge medical innovations to market. The firm is currently supporting clients on the cutting edge in CAR-T cancer therapies, gene therapies, and stem cell therapies. In a typical recent project, Putnam helped validate the epidemiology of untreated patient populations, then worked with the client to better define unmet medical needs in the therapeutic area. This led to recommendations around endpoints in Phase III trial designs. Putnam then worked with the commercial team to build strategies around introducing the product to target markets. At the same time, Putnam helped build forecast models for key countries and conducted pipeline assessments to help the client keep abreast of fast moving clinical developments among competitors (which also informed in-licensing scans). Whether Putnam's clients are honing their portfolios, developing new products, or trying to grow marketed products, the firm's strength lies in its ability to consistently deliver exceptional work and superior insights on the industry's complex challenges.

CAR-T Roundtable Discussion – 12/3/20

In 2019, Putnam formed a select panel of cell and gene therapy (CGT) experts to meet our clients’ growing demand for CGT strategy and commercialization support. By engaging with our expert panel, Putnam is at the leading edge of this rapidly evolving space, delivering to our CGT-focused clients unparalleled insight into clinical decision-making, product on-boarding and logistical challenges, emerging technologies, and key market trends.

In the lead-up to ASH, Putnam held our first CGT roundtable event with four leading experts from our panel. Joseph Feingold and Colleen Sadin, leaders of Putnam’s CGT practice, moderated the discussion on the current and future state of CAR-T cell therapy in oncology: “Three years of commercial CAR-T: Where are We and Where are we headed?”

The Boston Globe Names Putnam a Top Workplace – 11/24/20

Putnam Associates has been named one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts in the 13th annual employee-based survey project from The Boston Globe. The Top Places to Work 2020 issue publishes online at on the night of November 19 and in Globe Magazine on November 22. Top Places to Work recognizes the most admired workplaces in the state voted on by the people who know them best—their employees. The survey measures employee opinions about their company’s direction, execution, connection, management, work, pay and benefits, and engagement. The employers are placed into one of four groups: small, with 50 to 99 employees; medium, with 100 to 249 workers; large, with 250 to 999; and largest, with 1,000 or more.

Putnam Associates was ranked 45th in the Medium Sized Companies category.

Putnam Announces Fall Promotions, Kristen Moffat to Partner – 11/23/20

We are thrilled to announce recent promotions throughout the firm including Yuanfei Wang to Principal; Mariah Hanley and Simran Madan to Senior Consultant; and Karyll Davis, Martha Gilchrist and Carri Hui Mingalone to Consultant.

We are also excited to announce the promotion of Kristen Moffat to Partner in our Boston office. Kristen embodies the core values we strive to achieve as a firm and we are thrilled to have her bold leadership added to our Partner team.
